Los Angeles County has reduced its masking requirements, and we are, too. Masks are no longer required at the spring convention but are still highly encouraged when in the convention space.
JEA and NSPA welcome Hilde Lysiak
as spring keynote speaker
Lysiak began her journalism career at age 8 when she published the Orange Street News and began covering crime in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
She gained national attention in 2015 when she was the first to break news of a murder in her hometown. She is the youngest member of the Society of Professional Journalists and has been recognized and awarded for her commitment to the freedom of the press. Her work inspired the Apple TV+ dramatic series “Home Before Dark.”
